What makes Eastwind Creations different?

Eastwind Creations is a completely custom wedding invitation service. That means no templates or books of designs to choose from. You work with a designer to create a one-of-a-kind wedding invitation. Each of our clients are paired with a professional wedding invitation designer who will assist through the entire design and printing process. This service is much like a couture wedding invitation service, without the high price tag.

How does it work?

If you decide that Eastwind Creations is a good fit for your wedding invitation needs, you must first fill out our Reserve a Designer form and pay the required $25.00 deposit. This will ensure that one of our designers will be personally availible to you. One of our designers will be paired with you based on your style and preferences. We try to pair our clients with designers that share similar design preferences. You should be contacted by one of our designers within 2 business days of your request.

After you have been paired with your designer, you will be working one-on-one with them through the whole design process. It is important that you have a good idea of what you like and don't like. Our designers will do their best to create your invitations based upon your preferences, so it is important that you know what style and type of invitations you would like. It is also very helpful to have your quantity needed and an appoximate budget for your invitations in mind. This will greatly help you and your designer create something you love and that you can afford.

Once you have begun the design process, your designer will send you digital proofs of your invitations. These proofs will represent your finished invitations and you can make edits and revisions with your designer based off of these proofs. Hard-copy proofs are availible for a small fee.

After you have finalized your wedding invitation design with your designer, you will receive an itemized invoice via Pay Pal. This invoice will include a link for payment. Once payment in full is received, your invitiations will be sent to the press.

You should expect your finished invitations to arrive 5-8 business days after payment has been received. Expedited shipping is availible.

Why is a deposit required?

Eastwind Creations is truly a unique experience. We will pair you with one of our talented designers to work one-on-one with you to create your perfect wedding invitations. We love what we do and we love working with couples that are ready to get started on their wedding invitations; however our time is limited. In order to ensure that we have a designer available to devote their time to your custom invitations, we prefer to work by reservation only.

In order to ensure your interest in working with one of our designers, we require a deposit of $25.00. This deposit is non-refundable, however it will be applied to your total invitation order. If you choose to work with another company, Eastwind Creations reserves the right to retain your deposit as payment for schduling and partically working with one of our designers.

Once your invitation design is complete, your deposit will be listed as a credit on your invitation invoice and will be applied to the final cost of your invitations.

I live locally, can I meet a designer?

If you have reserved a designer, we would be happy to coordinate an in-home design consultation with one of our designers. This is a great opporunity to meet with your designer, see some of our invitation samples in person and check out our paper and printing samples. If you are interested in meeting in person, please indicate that on your Reserve a Designer form so we may pair you with a designer that lives in your area.

Each in-home consultation must be scheduled with your indiviual designer. Please be considerate and try to schedule your consultation at least a week in advance.

In person consultations may not be availible due to location and time constraints of each designer.

This service is only availible to clients who have completed the Reserve a Designer form and is not a part of our free consultative service. If you are interested in a free consultation, we will gladly correspond with you through e-mail or a scheulded phone appointment.

How Do I pay?

We currently use merchant services through PalPal. PayPal is a payment sevice that allows you to pay with any major credit card, checking account, or paypal account. It is a safe and secure way to pay online. When you are ready to Reserve a Designer, we provide a link to pay through Pay Pal on our website. When you are ready to order your finished wedding invitation design, we will send you an itemized invoice through PayPal. This invoice will contain a link to pay directly on Pay Pal's site using any major payment method. It is not nessisary to have a Pay Pal account to use this service. It's easy!

Can I just pay for the design and print it myself?

Yes, however you must request our "Simply the Design Package" or Design Only. Our designers will work with you in the same manner as if you were ordering our full design package, however they will offer you additional printing and paper advice. This service has a flat fee of $100 per invitation suite and will be billed in the same fashion of a regular invitation design. This option is offered to our clients who request less than 100 invitations.

Although this option may be more convient for some of our clients, it is not for everyone. There are many factors that make amazing wedding invitations. We also warn that this method may increase your overall costs for your wedding invitations due to the fact that Eastwind Creations has special contracts with printing presses for discounted rates. Many times our clients who are novice at press printing will find they increased their overall costs by trying to do it themselves. Eastwind Creations cannot be held liable for paper or printing quality if you choose to order the design only.

How will my items be shipped?

Primarily, we will use FedEx 2nd Day to ship your wedding invitations. However, we reserve the right to choose the best shipping option based on time and cost.

We provide every order with tracking information when their order has shipped.

When sending hard-sopy proofs, we try to send them via the US Postal Service so that you will be able to ensure your invitations will arrive safely to your guests. Often this is requested if postage rates are in question. In addition to FedEx, we use UPS, and USPS for shipping. If you are in a rush, we can offer overnight or expedited shipping, however an additional fee will be charged.

I live locally, can I just pick up my invitations?

Due to resources and time constraints, we no longer offer drop off or pick up services for our products. Once payment is received, you can expect to receive your invitations within 5-8 business days. Client's who live locally can expect their invitations to arrive sooner.

Can I use photos taken by a professional photographer?

If you would like to use photos taken by a professional photographer, you must own the copyright. When a professional photographer takes your pictures the images are leagally owned by them. We cannot reprint any of these images without permission from the photographer. Usually, if you have the rights to reproduce your photos, the photographer will provide you with a copyright release and will keep one on file. If you do not have a release from your photographer, we will not be able to use your images. If the photographer provided you a disk with the origional images on it, copyright release is implied unless the images are watermarked.

When you send your photos to Eastwind Creations, we reserve the right to request proof of copyright. By sending Eastwind Creations your photos and the applicable releases you certify that you have permission from the photographer to reprint your images and agree to hold Eastwind Creations harmless for all costs, expenses, attorney's fees or judgements resulting from any claims or lawsuits made for any grounds claiming that the product produced violates any copyright or proprietary right of any person or enity.

Eastwind Creations also reserves the right to request higher resolution or higher quality images for printing. Although most professional photographers shoot in high resolution suitable for print, some ameteur photographers may produce low quality images. Our designers will inform their clients if their images are unsuitable for print and request highter resolution images. If the designer informs the client of their low image quailtiy and is requested to proceed with printing, Eastwind Creations will not be held liable for the quality of the printing results.
